Uitvoering in samenwerking met meesterglasblazer Gert Bullée, geblazen glas, met de hand gevormd, Leerdam.
In Air – Vliegel of Birdplain legt Dirry de kracht van het element lucht vast in een glassculptuur in luchtige blauwtinten. Het kunstwerk toont condens strepen die de sporen van vliegreizen symboliseren, terwijl het de verstoring van de natuur door de mens weerspiegelt. De vogels, ooit vrij in de lucht, worden verdrongen door de ‘vliegels’, een hybride van vliegtuig en vogel, waarmee de menselijke invloed op de lucht wordt benadrukt.
Dit dynamische kunstwerk straalt oneindigheid, stabiliteit en kalmte uit. Optimisme wordt geboden in de schoonheid van het stralende blauw, symbool voor intelligentie, drager van oplossingen.

In Air – Vliegel or Birdplain, Dirry captures the power of the element of air in a glass sculpture rendered in airy shades of blue. The artwork depicts condensation trails, symbolising the traces left by air travel, while reflecting humanity’s disruption of the natural world. The birds, once free to roam the skies, are displaced by the ‘Vliegels’ – a hybrid of aircraft and bird – highlighting the impact of human activity on the air above us.
This dynamic artwork conveys a sense of infinity, stability and tranquillity. Its radiant blue tones offer a message of optimism, symbolising intelligence and the capacity to find solutions.
