Uitvoering in samenwerking met meesterglasblazer Gert Bullée, geblazen glas, met de hand gevormd, Leerdam.
In Water – Morphosis presenteert Dirry een glassculptuur die de transformatie van het water in haar geboortestreek weerspiegelt. Het werk is geïnspireerd op een brasem die Dirry als kind ving, die het modderige water van het veenweidelandschap doorzwom. Het kunstwerk verwijst ook naar het gifschandaal dat ooit haar dorp teisterde, maar ook naar de hoopvolle verbetering van de waterkwaliteit sindsdien, ondanks de nieuwe uitdagingen die PFAS-metingen aan het licht brengen.
Het ontbrekende deel van de vis staat voor de uitdagingen die nog voor ons liggen. Het werk benadrukt de voortdurende evolutie van de waterkwaliteit, met de hoop dat we de koers kunnen blijven verbeteren voor een gezondere toekomst.

In Water – Morphosis, Dirry presents a glass sculpture that reflects the transformation of the water in her native region. The work is inspired by a bream that Dirry caught as a child, swimming through the muddy waters of the peat meadow landscape. The sculpture also refers to the toxic pollution scandal that once affected her village, while acknowledging the hopeful improvements in water quality since then, despite the new challenges revealed by PFAS contamination measurements.
The missing part of the fish symbolises the challenges that still lie ahead. The artwork highlights the ongoing evolution of water quality and expresses the hope that we can continue to improve our course towards a healthier future.
