De Gold Tip stolp is een historisch draaiwerk, samengesteld uit antiek mahonie en eiken en super glad afgewerkt vervolgens poliment verguld.
Poliment vergulden is een klassieke manier van vergulden, erg arbeidsintensief maar met een prachtig resultaat! Het bladgoud ‘Dukantengoud’ wordt op een speciaal geprepareerde, vochtige aarde/bolus ondergrond gelegd om langzaam in te drogen. Eenmaal gepolijst met een agaatsteen geeft de stolp een fantastische glans. De optimale bekroning van de rijk gedecoreerde vaas.
Het vrije werk van Dirry, de Y-conische stolpvazen, zijn opvallende positieve objecten als bevroren kleurmomenten. Elk stuk is gebeeldhouwd in samenwerking met de meesterglasblazers van Leerdam. Ieder avontuur door kleur en materie zorgt voor een exclusief resultaat en is niet reproduceerbaar. In combinatie met de variaties in het dagelijkse licht verbeelden deze objecten een eeuwigdurend uurwerk van licht.

The Gold Tip bell jar is a historic turned work, composed of antique mahogany and oak and finished super smoothly and then polished gold plated.
Poliment gilding is a classic way of gilding, very labour intensive but with a beautiful result! The gold leaf ‘Dukantengoud’ is placed on a specially prepared, moist earth/bolus surface to dry slowly. Once polished with an agate stone, the bell jar gives a fantastic shine. The optimal crowning glory of the richly decorated vase.
Dirry’s free work, the Y-conical vases with finials, are strikingly positive objects as frozen moments of colour. Each unique piece sculpted in collaboration with the master glassblowers of Leerdam. Every adventure through colour and matter provides a one-off result and turns out to be not reproducible. This fact combined with the variation in daily light gives these objects an eternal clockwork of light.
